When you feel overwhelmed by situations you may remove yourself. There is no need to feel afraid to distance yourself from others you may feel are inflicting you with any form of their own suffering. Yes, you may understand them however, you need not to allow yourself to be pulled into their drama. You have every divine right to act accordingly to direct your own life as you wish. If you are in an unbalanced relationship in any form and the other person is not willing to work in openness to what you feel, then you may choose to step away to take care of you.
If you are wishing to make a change in your life but feel hesitant, maybe you can recall that you truly do have the freedom to make choices that serve you best. What is your life if you are not honest with yourself? Is it that you must continually suffer and feel depleted to benefit others? Are you a giver that you give too much and feel empty inside? Could it be courageous enough for you to try to give to you too? You are not here to be at anyone else’s beck and call at your own detriment.
But of course, I am not saying that you do not use the virtues of your heart with compassion for others. This is most righteous beauty when you comfort, console and love others in your life. Fill up more of the vessel of you and watch how much more you truly have to give to others.
Giving yourself the gift of your love raises the love to pour forth from the endless supply of universal love as it embraces you, is being true to yourself.
